Implementation of a Digital Technological Innovation Tool to Improve Sexual Health in Rural Environments
In 2021, a local NGO with presence in Northern Nigeria decided to execute and implement a global health funded initiative to improve access to sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) services in rural environments.
The aim of the project was to strengthen community-based support and response services to reduce vulnerability and impact to SGBV and SRHR.
Levels Advisory’s support:
We led the project team who were responsible for implementation of the innovation across 3 IDP camps with more than 1000 key users mobilized on the different IDP camp sites and more than 2000 end users involved.
The project was successfully complete in 12 months, while meeting Global Health funders expectations and fulfilling Levels Advisory's ambitious commitments.
The implementation was performed following 4 steps:
-
Action plan at a group level design and implementation, tools, and an adapted approach preparation to integrate local entities and community engagement.
-
Management of the project to engage all entities in the implementation of the innovative initiative to strengthen GBV services within the IDP camps.
-
Mobilization and community management of local stakeholders and support in the project implementation.
-
The implementation of KPIs and monitoring and evaluation tools to measure the impact of the innovation in term of use of the digital tool.
